Welcome to my blog! I am having a great time working with this new technology -well new to me. I wanted to share with you my experience during the relaxation experience. I found it a little funny to begin listening to a relaxation guy with bong noises in the background so I got a bit giggly at first. As the experience went on, I found myself shutting out the sounds in the house and in my brain. I actually began to get closer to what I feel in "myself". I plan to utilize this listening technique each week to see how I develope my inner peace.
What you are saying about your experience is exactly why I love guided meditations! If I am trying to meditate in a room by myself, making myself become quite and still, I catch myself getting distracted at times. When I do, that's when I start to feel silly for sitting in a room by myself, so it's better if I have a guide. It's a good way to train yourself to get into that state of mind. :)
ReplyDeleteHello Mickey,
ReplyDeleteJourney On! It is so important to be able to shut out the background noise to achieve ultimate relaxation. I found that the techniques described were helpful and have allowed me to relax so deeply I almost feel as if I am asleep. Great post!

I was the same way, I got a little giggly, at first. I am a skeptic so sometimes I find myself being overly critical of different techniques instead of letting myself go into them. However as the recording went on, I was relaxing and feeling the heaviness in my arms and but the time it was all over, I was wondering if there was a way to get this to stay on my computer so when the class was over I could still have the recording! :) It was great and now I am excited to learn more!
